Who they are: St. Francis Pet Care is a nonprofit organization in Alachua county that works to bring free veterinary care to the pets of the homeless, veterans, and very low-income residents. They also teach people to be responsible pet owners and encourage people to get their pets spayed/neutered. One of their goals is to keep pets and pet owners together so the pets don’t end up in animal shelters due to owners not being able to pay for the care of the pets.
What they do: St. Francis Pet Care does exams, vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, treatment for minor injuries and sickness, medical care consultation, and flea and heartworm prevention.

Picking up pet supplies at locations in Gainesville
Organizing and cleaning the clinic
Doing client intake interviews
Joining the Media Committee
Joining the Fundraising Committee
Taking pets to appointments
Driving pets and clients to the clinic (Tuesdays)
