Who they are: Christians Concerned for the Community is a charitable nonprofit organization that is affiliated with the Christian Community Development Association (CCDA.org).  They focus on empowering the poor, disabled, and elderly.   

What they do: Christians Concern for the Community partners with local organizations, church, and government agencies to help meet the spiritual, human development, and practical needs of citizens in Alachua County.  Their mission is to express God’s love by equipping the local church to help people in the community.   

What YOU can do to help: Volunteers are needed in the following areas:

Office: answering phones, meeting with CCC neighbors, organizing and cleaning, helping with mail outs

Service Projects: cleaning houses; yard work

Furniture: picking up and delivering appliances and furniture

Transportation: providing transportation for people in need

Accessibility: installing ramps, railings, steps, or grab bars in people’s homes

Home Visits: following up with former CCC neighbors, disabled, and homebound

Handy People: home repairs; car repairs

Donations: gas cards and rolls of stamps
