community and to providing services to enrich the quality
of life for seniors.

What YOU can do to help: Volunteers are
needed in the following areas:
Meals on Wheels Program: Deliver
lunch to seniors who are homebound
Monday-Friday

22nd Drive, Gainesville, FL 32605.
Chore Services: Provide ongoing or
one-time chore service to clients.
Grant Proposals: Write grant
applications to aquire funds.
Fundraisers: Sponsor a bake sale, car
wash, garage sale, or gift wrap
station.
Al’z Place: Assisting seniors
who have Alzheimer’s or other memory
impairment with activities. Serve lunch.
Al’z Place is open from 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Mon-Fri each week.
Grocery Shopping: Shop and
deliver food to seniors who are
homebound.
Congregate Mealsites: Interact
and assist seniors with education, exercise, and art
programs. Serve food. Provide
entertainment like playing the piano or
singing. Start a class featuring a special
skill or talent you have.
Publicity: Help to publicize
Eldercare in the community.
Telephone Calls: Call seniors
each day at a certain time to check on how they are
doing.
