What they do: Fishing for Success has
many programs, including Family Fishing Days, which are
open to the community. Family Fishing Days provides
families a special opportunity to fish in stocked ponds
on the grounds of the UF Fisheries and Aquatic
Sciences. November 8, 2008 is the last Family
Fishing Day for 2008. Fishing for Success also has
on-site tours, hands-on activities, demonstrations, and
off-site tours.
What YOU can do to help: Volunteers are
needed on Family Fishing Days to help with registration,
setup, food preparation, and to check fishing gear, bait
hooks, measure fish, weigh fish, and release fish.
Donations are also needed: bait, tackle, prizes,
trophies, food, and drinks.
