What they do: The Harn Museum promotes the power of art to inspire, educate, and enrich people’s lives.  They build and maintain collections of art and create educational programs

What YOU can do to help: Volunteers are needed in the following areas:

Docent Program: Volunteers are needed to be tour guides who introduce and interpret the permanent collection of art and the traveling exhibits at the Harn Museum.  To become a docent, you must submit the docent application, attend an orientation, and attend the New Docent Training Program.  After you complete the training, you will be evaluated as a docent based on skill and the quality of the tour you give.  (Note: The New Docent Training Program will not begin until fall of 2009.  Applications are always accepted, though.) Harn MUSE Program: This volunteer program is for students at the University of Florida who are interested in art and want to create innovative programs for the museum.  You volunteer for one semester.  10-15 students are selected for each spring and fall semester.  Please e-mail or call for more information about this program or about when the next MUSE Recruitment Information Sessions are.
