WUFT Radio Reading Service for the Blind broadcasts book and newspaper selections to blind and visually impaired people.

Contact: Jean DeFlumer, (352) 392-5200 x 133

What they do: WUFT Radio Reading Service for the Blind broadcasts more than 50 hours of newspaper and book readings each week.  They keep the listeners in touch with the world and their own communities.  The readings are broadcast to listeners through a special radio receiver.  If a listener is eligible (as deemed by a medical professional), a radio is loaned to that person free of charge.

What YOU can do to help: Volunteers are always needed to read books or newspapers for this program. Please contact Jean DeFlumer.
